12th Man TV

12th Man TV: The old A&M scoreboard was torn down and replaced by "12th Man TV", which is a 54-by-74-foot video board. It ranks as the second-largest screen in college athletics and one of the 10 largest in the world. The new addition also includes a sound system and ribbon boards.

Bill Byrne:

Our video appears in high definition.

We haven't talked much about the new sound system in place as well. Without going into engineering details, it is concert-quality and is adjusted to laser-like specifications to every section of the stadium so it delivers high quality and near-simultaneous audio wherever you are sitting.

We looked around the U.S. at the best facilities, and we settled on Turner Field where the Atlanta Braves play as the model for the best fit at Kyle Field. Please understand this: we looked at oversized combinations of replay and advertising boards, and determined that they did not fit well for the aura of Kyle Field.

If having the largest screen was all we wanted, we could have done that easily. We decided it was important to be attentive to programming. As a result, our big-screen content – while second-largest in all of college sports – will be better than on any screen in the country, guaranteed.
